Role Overview
We are seeking an Estate Caretaker who takes pride in maintaining local communities and is eager to make a positive impact within the Greater Manchester area. This hands-on position involves a variety of practical tasks, from minor repairs and litter collection to managing communal bin areas, addressing fly tipping, and supporting winter gritting to ensure safety onsite. The role requires a proactive, approachable individual committed to keeping communal spaces clean, secure, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor odd-job repairs around the estates.
- Conduct litter picking and maintain cleanliness in communal zones.
- Manage and upkeep communal bin areas, including responding to fly tipping.
- Assist with winter gritting to keep sites safe during colder months.
- Ensure proper use, care, and security of tools, equipment, and vehicles aligned with health and safety guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant experience in a caretaking or similar maintenance role.
- Good understanding of building and maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to the role.
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence.
- A proactive, positive attitude with reliability and approachability.

Additional Information
- Annual full-time salary: £25,242.
- Permanent contract.
- Full-time (35 hours weekly) with options for part-time and flexible arrangements.
- Office base located in Oldham.
- Interview sessions planned for the week commencing 22nd June.
