About the Role

Allpoints Surveying is hiring a motivated and detail-focused Entry-level AutoCAD Drafter to join their expanding team in Houston, TX. This role involves converting initial conceptual designs into accurate working drawings using computer-aided design techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive drawings for construction foundations, buildings, and other structures.
• Utilize AutoCAD software to generate designs, charts, forms, and related documentation.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to interpret and clarify design drawings.
• Examine preliminary sketches, drawings, specifications, and data to verify compliance with surveying requirements.
• Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to the appropriate teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
• CAD certification from an accredited program is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions and Compensation

This full-time role operates on a five-day workweek, Monday through Friday, based at the Houston office. Compensation is hourly, and applicants should include their wage expectations with their application.
