Engineer - MEP (Fire Protection Systems)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineer specialized in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) with a focus on Fire Protection Systems (FPS) to join our team in Dubai. The role involves coordinating and supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems on-site to ensure adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate MEP activities with emphasis on fire protection, particularly in substations.
• Direct supervision of installing fire protection systems, including firefighting piping (MS/GI/HDPE), sprinkler systems, hydrant and hose reel setups, fire pumps (main, jockey, diesel), and fire alarm systems.
• Monitor daily construction site activities and ensure efficient manpower deployment and productivity.
• Collaborate closely with civil engineering teams and other MEP disciplines to prevent project clashes and delays.
• Facilitate fire alarm system testing and integration processes onsite.
• Prepare and submit testing documentation and reports for consultant review and approval.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Proven experience working in MEP within mechanical disciplines, particularly related to fire protection.
• Previous involvement or exposure to Fire Protection System (FPS) installations and coordination on substations is required.
• Ability to supervise and manage installation, testing, and commissioning stages ensuring compliance with standards and local authority regulations.
