ELV Technician

Job Overview

This role involves handling installation, repair, replacement, and upkeep of security systems primarily involving CCTV. The technician operates under the guidance of a Project Engineer, executing technical and manual tasks including minor carpentry and drilling as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Install security system components such as cameras, motion detectors, electronic locks, and printed circuit boards as per Project Engineer's directions.
• Perform structured cabling installation for systems like CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection.
• Install and maintain Intrusion, CCTV, and Access Control Systems across commercial and luxury residential sites.
• Travel to various customer locations to conduct installation and servicing tasks.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Organize work efficiently to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Utilize electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters to read voltages.
• Proficiently use hand and power tools including drills, screwdrivers, and cutters.
• Interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and written instructions accurately.
• Apply foundational knowledge in electronics and security systems (IP Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Access Control) along with electronic power supplies.
• Fabricate parts and cables as required to ensure successful installations.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Engineer throughout projects.
• Adhere to standard safety procedures in all work activities.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Minimum educational attainment: High School diploma.
• IT Diploma certification is considered advantageous.
• At least two years of professional experience within security service companies.
• Possession of a UAE Driving License is a desirable asset.
