Position Summary
The Elementary Programs Manager is charged with ensuring the effective rollout and day-to-day oversight of Junior Achievement's programs for kindergarten through fifth grade across Palm Beach and Treasure Coast areas. This role encompasses managing all stages of the program delivery process, including working with schools, coordinating volunteers, handling logistics, and maintaining data records. Serving as the key contact for assigned JA programs, the manager guarantees quality and consistency aligned with Junior Achievement's mission to inspire and prepare youth for success in the global economy. This position also plays a vital role in broadening program access, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing awareness of JA's community impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive implementation of JA elementary programs (K–5), encompassing scheduling, coordination, delivery assistance, and follow-up activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to JA curriculum standards and program fidelity.
- Keep precise and timely records of student participation, volunteer involvement, and program completions.
- Track progress against goals and essential performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with educators, school leaders, and district representatives.
- Act as the primary liaison to schools, facilitating effective communication and strong support mechanisms.
- Support outreach to new schools and deepen engagement within existing partnerships.
- Provide targeted assistance and professional development opportunities to educators.
- Recruit, train, and assist volunteers to ensure successful program facilitation.
- Match volunteers appropriately to programs and maintain ongoing communication and recognition to bolster retention.
- Manage scheduling coordination between schools and volunteers to facilitate seamless operations.
- Oversee program material inventories, manage their distribution and collection efficiently.
- Represent Junior Achievement at community and school events, both in-person and virtually, delivering presentations to promote program growth and public understanding.
- Support the Vice President of Education in departmental projects and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure all programs align with JA’s mission, values, and standards for excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required; preference for candidates with a background in education or related fields.
- Experience delivering classroom instruction, youth program facilitation, or similar roles either in-person or virtual.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities supporting multitasking and deadline management.
- Excellent communication skills, including confident public speaking and interpersonal relationship building.
- Proven ability to cultivate positive collaborations with diverse groups such as students, educators, volunteers, and community members.
- Preferred experience working with or coordinating volunteers.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace; familiarity with Google Classroom is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with prior experience in data management and reporting.
Additional Expectations
- Willingness and ability to travel locally throughout Palm Beach and Treasure Coast counties.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to support early mornings, evenings, or event-related activities as required.
- Physical ability to carry and move program materials as necessary.
