Role Overview

The Electrical Supervisor is entrusted with managing the entire electrical systems and infrastructure across the property. This includes ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant regulations. You will lead and mentor the electrical team, direct maintenance activities, oversee repairs, and liaise with other departments to maintain smooth electrical service that enhances guest and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and train the electrical team to maintain the property's electrical systems effectively and efficiently.
• Perform routine inspections to detect potential problems or areas for enhancement in electrical installations before operational impact.
• Ensure compliance of all electrical tasks with local legislation, building codes, and safety standards.
• Manage maintenance, repair, and installation efforts on electrical systems including power supplies, lighting, and control devices.
• Monitor all electrical system performances to prevent failures and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager on scheduling preventive electrical maintenance.
• Oversee troubleshooting and timely rectification of electrical faults in a cost-effective manner.
• Ensure that all equipment remains operational and safe, addressing hazards promptly.
• Keep comprehensive records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to support specialized electrical system needs from installation through upkeep.
• Manage electrical inventory and stock to guarantee the availability and condition of necessary materials and tools.
• Promote and apply energy efficiency measures to optimize electrical consumption and lower operational expenses.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to team members as needed.
• Help prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget covering all electrical requirements.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical events to minimize service disruptions.
• Enforce safety protocols, including PPE usage and health and safety compliance in all electrical operations.
• Report any critical electrical or safety issues to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager immediately.
• Maintain effective communication with contractors and vendors to ensure quality electrical maintenance services.
• Fulfill additional duties to facilitate seamless engineering department operations.
