About the Company
A consultancy team is looking to hire a skilled and seasoned Electrical Engineer for an important project-based role.
About the Role
This position is centered on site supervision and consulting support for construction work, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing electrical systems, coordinating with stakeholders, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure the project is delivered safely, correctly, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Track and oversee electrical work at site level to confirm it aligns with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and overall project requirements.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and project personnel across all stages of the assignment.
- Examine and sign off on electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and related technical records.
- Observe installation, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment.
- Spot site-level technical challenges and offer sound engineering guidance and solutions.
- Make sure all work follows safety rules, quality expectations, and agreed timelines.
- Draft technical reports, inspection notes, progress summaries, and other project-related documentation.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 12 years of experience in electrical engineering work within construction projects is needed.
- Prior experience working in a consultant capacity is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare projects is compulsory.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to supervise electrical site work
- Experience with installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards
- Familiarity with construction site practices
- Strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams
- Clear technical reporting and documentation skills
