About the Role

We are seeking a Document Controller to manage and uphold an effective document and information control system specific to Cybersecurity compliance for the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project. This position is crucial in producing a "Proof of Compliance" package demanded by local authorities. The Document Controller will handle engineering, vendor, construction, cybersecurity, and project management documentation throughout all project phases, ensuring thorough accuracy, adherence to procedures, and preserving document integrity.
Based onsite in Duba, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia, the role follows a rotation schedule of 8 weeks on-site followed by 2 weeks off.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate within a high-volume, multi-contractor mega-project context involving significant engineering and construction documentation.
- Engage closely with Project Engineering, Cyber Collaboration teams, EPC contractors, licensors, vendors, and site personnel.
- Work under general guidelines from the Cyber Collaboration Lead, prioritizing tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain established document control procedures aligned with Air Products and project standards.
- Register, monitor, distribute, and archive technical and project-related documents securely and systematically.
- Coordinate timely dissemination of documents among internal teams, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Manage document numbering, revision updates, metadata accuracy, and maintain full audit trails within electronic document management systems.
- Oversee document review cycles, track overdue actions, and provide status updates to engineering and leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with information classification, cybersecurity protocols, and sensitive data handling policies.
- Support digital collaboration tools and common data environment platforms in cooperation with the Cyber Collaboration Lead.
- Conduct routine quality audits on document control processes and address inconsistencies or missing data promptly.
- Prepare and deliver document control metrics, dashboards, and progress reports as needed.
- Assist in project close-out, including final documentation handovers, archiving, and record retention.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 to 15 years of professional document control experience in large-scale engineering, EPC, or industrial mega-project environments such as oil & gas, chemicals, hydrogen, or energy sectors.
- Proven expertise in managing electronic document management systems within complex multi-contractor settings.
- Strong understanding of document numbering schemes, revision control, transmittals, and audit standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and SharePoint-based platforms.
- Experience working on NEOM, regional hydrogen projects, or significant industrial projects in the Middle East.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity-compliant document environments and digital collaboration platforms.
- Comfortable working onsite within diverse, multicultural project teams.
- Certifications in Document Control or Records Management tools (e.g., ACONEX, SharePoint) are preferred.
- Additional certifications in information management or digital collaboration methodologies are advantageous.
