Your Mission

As the Director of Product Management, you will spearhead the execution of critical product initiatives that advance company growth. Collaborating closely with the Chief Product Officer who defines vision, you will develop actionable roadmaps, take ownership, and propel projects forward alongside a small team of product managers and designers.

This role is highly hands-on, blending individual contribution with team leadership. Expect to spend most of your time directly engaging in product work—talking with customers, shaping strategy, and delivering—rather than focusing solely on meetings or oversight. Ideal candidates aim to influence outcomes by setting a personal example.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate high-level product vision and growth targets into clear execution strategies that deliver customer value.
• Maintain ownership of the overall product roadmap, deciding which features or products to develop and their timelines.
• Align daily product decisions with long-term business strategy through medium-term planning.
• Facilitate collaboration across product, design, engineering, marketing, operations, and customer success teams.
• Partner closely with engineering leadership as a key counterpart.
• Serve as a player-coach, managing your own product workstreams while mentoring your team to enhance their skills and professional growth.
• Reduce management overhead by coaching within the flow of work itself.
• Cultivate a product culture emphasizing ownership, measurable impact, and teamwork.
• Promote an outcome-driven development approach centered on addressing real customer challenges.
• Ensure your team remains motivated, supported, and progressing in their responsibilities.
• Keep the roadmap grounded in customer insights, data analysis, and market trends.
• Personally lead key product initiatives to guarantee consistent advancement and exemplify leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to create and improve product development processes and workflows.
• Fulfill a senior product management role in specific focus areas while delegating other tracks appropriately.
• Implement scalable and repeatable systems for prioritization, execution, and performance measurement.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years or more of product management experience, preferably within fast-growing SaaS or technology firms.
• Minimum 2 years managing product managers and designers.
• Proven track record of shipping multiple products at scale, not limited to single features.
• Strong ability to interpret strategic directions into actionable roadmaps independently.
• Demonstrates a preference for hands-on product ownership rather than purely managerial duties.
• Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.

• Experience with general management structures and responsibility driven by outcomes.
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution or trades industries.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $185,000 annually.
