Role Overview

The Director, People Partner is a vital member of the People & Organizational Effectiveness team, committed to attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding talent. Acting as a champion of Klick's culture and values, this role partners closely with business leaders to ensure data-driven decisions on people matters. Responsibilities include coaching leaders, addressing employee relations challenges, delivering programs that promote employee growth and engagement, and contributing to the design and execution of organizational and talent strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop trusted partnerships with senior business leaders, providing expert counsel on people strategies and organizational alignment.
  • Collaborate on workforce planning, organizational design, career and succession planning, performance and talent management, and compensation strategy.
  • Work alongside People & Organizational Effectiveness colleagues to create and implement meaningful development programs for employees.
  • Offer coaching and guidance to managers and senior leadership to cultivate leadership skills and effective team management.
  • Address and resolve diverse employee relations matters with fairness and transparency.
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend tailored solutions at both business unit and enterprise-wide levels.
  • Identify training needs related to people practices and facilitate individual and group learning sessions.
  • Approach complex problems with root-cause analysis and deliver cross-disciplinary solutions beyond traditional HR functions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across career planning, performance management, coaching, data analytics, employee relations, learning and development, employee recognition, and strategic planning.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data insights to enhance organizational health and inform decision-making aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in HR business partnering, leadership, or generalist roles, supporting senior leaders in rapidly growing mid-sized firms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of pertinent employment laws.
  • Comprehensive HR expertise including organizational design, succession planning, performance management, diversity and inclusion, consulting, recognition programs, disability management, engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, data analytics, and employee relations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to operate effectively within constraints while challenging conventional practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to interpret data, discern trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and participatory role in intricate strategic discussions.
  • Skilled communicator adept at fostering relationships with senior leaders and complex stakeholder groups to drive change.
  • Experience supporting HR operations for employees and leaders across the US and globally.

Additional Information

This opening is for replacement hiring at Klick Health, with a salary range of CAD 120,000 to 140,000, adjusted based on location, skills, education, and prior experience.
