Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief People Officer as part of the HR leadership team, the Director of People Operations will lead HR Operations and Total Rewards functions. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to enhance the total rewards philosophy, expand compensation and benefits programs, strengthen HR infrastructure, and evolve delivery models toward enabling self-service supported by effective systems. The position involves managing a high-performing team to create programs meeting current employee needs while laying foundations aligned with CRB's values.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and administer comprehensive Total Rewards strategies encompassing compensation, benefits, wellbeing, and diversity, equity, and inclusion alignment.
• Manage the annual merit and bonus distribution processes effectively.
• Lead the HR Operations team to build scalable tools and processes supporting company-wide people activities.
• Collaborate with business leadership to provide recommendations on executive compensation and perform requested analyses for senior management.
• Coach and mentor direct reports while enhancing Total Rewards expertise across the broader HR department.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws relevant to compensation and benefits.
• Conduct benchmarking of reward and operational practices globally to maintain competitive positioning and adapt to evolving trends.
• Educate managers and staff on Total Rewards topics to foster understanding throughout the organization.
• Support implementation, rollout, and adoption of CRB’s HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and vendor management.
• Oversee HR compliance activities, including audits, documentation, control testing, and enforcing policies to meet compliance standards.
• Provide guidance to Human Capital and Executive Compensation Board committees on Total Rewards matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 10 years in human resources, specializing in total rewards and/or HR operations.
• Proven leadership in implementing and managing total rewards and operational HR programs.
• Proficient in advanced Excel and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels and functions.
• Recognized expertise in compensation and benefits.
• Highly proactive, agile, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle critical total rewards cycles.
• Ability to build trust and credibility quickly within HR and business teams.
