Role Overview
The Director position, based full-time in Auckland, involves providing strategic guidance to multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, managing client relations, and spearheading business development efforts. The Director monitors performance targets, mentors project leaders and technical experts, and ensures alignment with client requirements, industry benchmarks, and Beca’s core principles. The role encompasses budget and resource management, participation in long-range growth strategies, and representing Beca in key stakeholder and community engagements. Additionally, the Director champions innovation, fosters an inclusive and safety-conscious work environment, and supports emerging leadership development.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Established leadership capabilities encompassing team management, performance enhancement, and talent nurturing.
- Proven expertise in strategic planning and expanding business, including client engagement and market advancement.
- Comprehensive experience managing projects and programs, with skills in budgeting, allocation of resources, and risk assessment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management proficiency capable of influencing senior-level decision-makers.
- Relevant professional background in consulting, engineering, construction, or related fields, preferably handling complex or large-scale environments.
- A bachelor’s degree in disciplines like engineering, architecture, business, or comparable fields; advanced degrees are a plus.
- A demonstrated focus on innovation, sustainability initiatives, and ongoing improvement of service quality.
