Role Overview

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will be a critical contributor within the Finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. This position is responsible for developing and owning sophisticated financial models that support decision-making at Clarify, a rapidly expanding, AI-driven healthcare technology company. Key duties include supporting fundraising efforts, M&A evaluation, complex scenario modeling for innovative revenue streams, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure financial discipline and reporting excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Redesign and automate the budgeting and forecasting processes, transitioning from manual Excel workflows to advanced FP&A tools with AI integration.
• Lead corporate financial planning, scenario analysis, and long-term forecasting capturing diverse revenue models including success-fee and outcomes-based contracts alongside SaaS metrics.
• Prepare fundraising materials, investor models, and lead financial diligence and integration for M&A activities.
• Manage revenue recognition and ARR tracking ensuring compliance with ASC 606, partnering with sales and accounting to align commercial and financial data flows.
• Deliver regular reporting and financial insights directly to the CFO and leadership team, continuously improving dashboards and reporting infrastructure.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• 6-10+ years in rigorous finance roles such as investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or specialty lending, followed by a successful transition to an operating company environment.
• Expertise in building complex financial models and scenarios from scratch under pressure.
• Proven experience automating budgeting and forecasting processes, selecting and implementing FP&A tools, and leveraging AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT for efficiency.
• Strong self-directed learning skills demonstrated by successful career pivots.
• Daily user of AI technologies for financial modeling and reporting with a mindset focused on speed and rigor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Preferred credentials include CPA, CFA, or MBA and experience with fundraising, M&A, SaaS valuation, GAAP standards, and venture-backed businesses.
