Role Summary
The position of Director Business Intelligence is a full-time remote opportunity responsible for spearheading data strategy development to support consulting services and internal management decisions. The role involves architecting business intelligence frameworks, constructing data models, and generating dashboards that convert complicated data into understandable, actionable insights for both leadership and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data analytics programs and initiatives to provide insight-driven solutions.
- Manage data warehousing and oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) procedures that unify and refine datasets from diverse sources.
- Ensure high-quality data governance and maintain data accuracy throughout systems.
- Collaborate across departments to gather business requirements and deliver relevant reporting tools.
- Mentor team members and foster skill development within the BI function.
- Assess and recommend new BI tools and technologies to optimize capabilities.
- Establish standard practices that enhance operational efficiency and improve risk evaluation mechanisms.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret intricate datasets, recognize patterns, and communicate effective business recommendations.
- Expertise in data modeling and principles of data warehousing aimed at building scalable and structured environments.
- Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and visual analytics to bolster strategic decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and workflows for data integration and optimization processes.
- Familiarity with business intelligence software such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and proficiency in SQL or equivalent query languages.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with a capacity to liaise effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications add value.
- Background in consulting or advisory roles, with a focus on people risk and organizational metrics considered advantageous.
- Aptitude for autonomous work in remote settings, managing multiple tasks, and upholding confidentiality and data integrity.
