Job description
Dimensional Survey & Control
- Execute dimensional surveys throughout all fabrication stages including fit-up, welding, and final inspection phases.
- Accurately measure geometries, true lengths, splay angles, footprints, theoretical coordinates, elevations, and as-built angles as required.
- Carry out pre-weld and post-weld surveys adhering strictly to the Dimensional Control Plan (DCP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
- Maintain detailed dimensional logs, record any Out of Tolerance (OOT) instances, and submit comprehensive daily reports to project coordinators.
Technical Documentation
- Develop dimensional control plans, inspection reports, and theoretical coordinate charts for project tracking.
- Produce dimensional survey reports and secure approvals from clients and third-party inspectors.
- Organize and uphold all documentation related to dimensional surveys and inspection results.
Equipment Calibration & Management
- Ensure calibration and regular maintenance of all dimensional measurement instruments including Leica, Sokkia, and Topcon devices, with proper record-keeping.
- Operate Total Stations, laser scanning devices where applicable, leveling instruments, and alignment tools efficiently.
