Design Review Engineer – Civil

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Review Engineer specialized in civil projects to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This position involves evaluating and managing design submissions, particularly for large pump station and sewage infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed review and assessment of contractor and consultant design submissions to verify compliance and constructability.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in project design review and oversee construction supervision activities.
• Manage design processes and site supervision for sizable infrastructure projects such as pump stations and water treatment facilities.
• Collaborate closely with clients, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient review cycles and attain necessary approvals.
• Utilize expertise in local Qatar codes and standards including QCS, QHDM, QTM, and WZTMG to ensure adherence throughout project phases.
• Apply knowledge of the Qatar Design Review System (QDRS) and approval documentation process for project submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 15 years of professional experience with a minimum of 7 years focused on large pump station or sewage infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated skill in multi-disciplinary project coordination, design review, and construction oversight.
• In-depth understanding of local and international engineering standards applicable to civil infrastructure.
• Fluency in bilingual communication essential for effective coordination within diverse teams.
• Must currently reside in Qatar and possess a valid QID and ATM copy from PWA.

Additional Information

• Employment duration is initially for 4 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
