Role Overview
The Demand Planner is tasked with creating precise, insight-driven demand forecasts to facilitate effective supply planning and guarantee product availability within assigned markets. Collaboration with commercial, finance, and supply chain teams is key to transforming market trends, sales data, and promotional activities into dependable demand plans. This role aims to enhance forecast accuracy, optimize inventory, and reinforce the continuous business planning (CBP) process in line with Edrington’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and update rolling 18-month demand forecasts for allocated markets, brands, or sales channels
- Analyze past sales data, market dynamics, commercial inputs, and upcoming promotions to sharpen demand signals
- Identify potential risks, opportunities, and deviations in forecasts, providing clear explanations and practical recommendations
- Support monthly CBP cycles by preparing demand reviews with precise data and insights
- Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Finance departments to harmonize volume forecasts and business drivers
- Alert to possible demand-driven risks affecting supply continuity and suggest mitigation or contingency measures
- Monitor inventory health factors including slow-moving stock and service levels to balance availability with inventory efficiency
- Investigate causes of service shortfalls and lead corrective initiatives where necessary
- Coordinate timely replenishment of warehouses beyond Singapore
- Deliver quarterly stock provision reports to Finance
- Assist Finance with monthly invoice reconciliation related to goods receipts
- Manage inbound deliveries using Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) to ensure timely receipt by third-party logistics providers
- Maintain and create material master data within SAP
- Champion improvements in forecasting tools, processes, and data quality
- Lead global and regional supply chain projects within the team
- Promote adoption of best practices and standardized workflows across markets and stakeholders
Candidate Profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management
- Proven experience focusing on Demand & Supply Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, and Inventory Management
- Experience coordinating within matrix organizations and across regions is highly advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence in leading and contributing to cross-functional discussions and decisions
- Advanced analytical capabilities and proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage workload independently while collaborating as part of a team
- Fluent English communication skills; proficiency in Mandarin is an added benefit
