Role Overview

The Senior Strategy Consultant for Data, AI, and Technology plays a crucial senior advisory role within the Data Office. You will help life sciences clients convert isolated data and AI initiatives into strategic competitive advantages by shaping high-level thinking and translating it into actionable leadership strategies. This position balances strategic insight with practical engagement, facilitating workshops through to final solutions while maintaining close contact with technology teams to guide and challenge developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate data, AI, and technology strategies that match client business priorities.
• Lead client workshops, steering committee sessions, and executive meetings from initial planning to follow-up actions.
• Construct and deliver compelling business cases for data and AI investments showcasing measurable impacts.
• Design sustainable governance frameworks for data and AI that clients can effectively implement operationally.
• Advise clients on technology and platform selections while not directly controlling technical implementation.
• Convert intricate technical concepts into actionable business insights using clear and engaging visual storytelling.
• Manage senior stakeholder interactions, harmonizing diverse interests across departments.
• Mentor client and internal teams on structured problem-solving methodologies and strategic communication skills.

Required Skills and Experience

• Exceptional ability to clarify ambiguous issues quickly and deliver well-founded viewpoints under time constraints.
• Experience facilitating executive-level workshops and guiding groups towards conclusive decisions.
• Proven capability to develop robust business cases that withstand scrutiny from finance and technology leaders.
• Expertise in crafting polished, executive-ready presentations that independently convey compelling arguments.
• Comfortable engaging with data architects and AI engineers on technical subjects without hands-on building responsibilities.
• Skillful in balancing client relationship management with the confidence to challenge and provide candid feedback.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline; MBA is advantageous.
• A minimum of 6 years and up to 10+ years' professional experience, including at least 3 years at a leading strategy consultancy or major consulting firm.
• Strong record of independently managing client workshops and delivering project outcomes.
• Deep expertise in data strategy, AI strategy, or technology strategy, with special emphasis on governance models.
• Experience in life sciences or other heavily regulated industries is preferred but not mandatory.
• Fluency in both German and English, native-level or equivalent proficiency.
