About the Role
A technology consultancy seeks a skilled Data Scientist to contribute to a comprehensive data and AI transformation project. The successful candidate will design and implement models for optimisation and forecasting to enhance resource allocation, scheduling, and operational decisions. This position requires hands-on technical expertise coupled with strong business communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create models focusing on optimisation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Develop time-series forecasting and demand prediction models.
- Deploy and oversee machine learning models using Databricks and MLflow platforms.
- Construct and maintain relevant data pipelines supporting model functionality.
- Communicate clear and understandable recommendations to stakeholders without technical backgrounds.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Proven expertise in building optimisation, scheduling, or resource allocation models.
- Practical experience with Databricks and MLflow tools.
- Advanced skills in Python programming and SQL query languages.
- Experience deploying forecasting and machine learning models.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with Pyomo, PuLP, OR-Tools, Delta Lake, or Medallion Architecture is advantageous.
Additional Information
Candidates are required to work onsite in Dublin a minimum of three days per week. Eligibility to work in Ireland is mandatory.
