Data Migration Tester

Role Overview

We are looking for a proficient Data Migration Tester for a six-month contract based in Auckland. This position demands in-depth technical skills to oversee data migration projects, ensuring data reliability and smooth transitions between systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead testing and quality assurance for extensive data migration initiatives.
• Develop, run, and maintain effective test scripts using Python and SQL to confirm data precision.
• Perform data validation, querying, and test system performance with Snowflake.
• Integrate and maintain testing frameworks within continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Apply SAS tools for specialized data analysis and validation during migrations.

Required Experience and Skills

• Demonstrated commercial experience as a Data Tester supporting data migration efforts.
• Hands-on experience working with Snowflake data warehouse environments.
• Strong scripting proficiency in Python and SQL for data verification.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and supporting continuous deployment processes.
• Knowledge of SAS for analytical testing needs in migration processes.
• Analytical thinker with practical problem-solving and defect management skills.

Education and Eligibility
