Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to join a client organization on a full-time basis, working remotely from anywhere. This position involves architecting, constructing, and sustaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructures. The engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to provide dependable data solutions that underpin business insights and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and enhance data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of substantial datasets.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and lakes to support both analytical and operational reporting requirements.
- Work alongside data scientists and analysts to guarantee data accessibility and maintain data integrity.
- Monitor the performance of data pipelines, diagnose, and resolve issues to ensure robustness and efficiency.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for data architecture, procedures, and standards to aid team compliance and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL database systems.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and tools such as Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, or equivalents.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and principles behind warehouse design.
- Experience utilizing cloud services for data infrastructure, including platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills focusing on scalability and pipeline performance.
