Role overview
Premier Technology Inc. is hiring a detail-focused Data Analyst to support sales operations and project management in a manufacturing setting. The role centers on gathering, structuring, checking, and maintaining data that drives project tracking, sales reporting, forecasting, estimating, and day-to-day operational decisions. You will collaborate with sales, project managers, operations, and leadership to keep information accurate, spot trends and warning signs, and turn data into practical recommendations.
What you will do
- Carry out early-stage data analysis for sales and project management work.
- Build, update, and refine templates used for sales tracking and project control.
- Track project measures, including estimate at completion (EAC), budgets, schedules, and forecasting inputs.
- Gather, organize, verify, and summarize information from several departments and systems.
- Make sure required sales and project data is complete, correct, and delivered on schedule.
- Work with project managers, sales teams, production, quality, engineering, operations, and leadership to obtain missing or incomplete details.
- Detect data inconsistencies, patterns, risks, and operational warning signs, then share findings with management.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that help guide business decisions.
- Protect data quality and support ongoing data management processes.
- Review sales results, project costs, productivity measures, and operational KPIs.
- Assist with improvement efforts related to reporting, tracking, and data collection.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and operational reporting for management.
- Document reporting workflows and data procedures.
- Help implement and improve tracking tools and reporting systems.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, project coordination, sales support, or manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting and data visualization tools is preferred.
- Exposure to ERP platforms, project tracking software, or manufacturing databases is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate well with different teams.
- Ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ability to handle confidential business and financial information.
- Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required.
- Must be a US citizen because the role supports government contracts.
Additional information
This position is based in Blackfoot, Idaho and is primarily office-based, though the employee may occasionally enter a manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Physical demands
The role requires sitting for long periods while working at a computer, with frequent walking and communication and occasional standing. The employee must often lift or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Required visual abilities include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment
The usual work setting is a quiet office environment. At times, the employee may need to enter a manufacturing area, where conditions may include inclement weather, loud noise, trip hazards, sparks, welding arc exposure, open flame, and moving equipment.
