About the Role

Hackajob is partnering with Verisk to find talented professionals for a Data Analyst position at Ignite Systems. Ignite Systems supports insurers and brokers by providing innovative technology, data, and automation to enhance business operations. This role will focus on supporting and improving insurance scheme pricing models, configurations, and client-tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze pricing data, algorithms, and rules to ensure schemes perform profitably and correctly.
• Maintain and adjust pricing schemes and configuration within internal systems.
• Investigate client queries regarding schemes and implement agreed modifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive improvements and enhancements.
• Support testing of new scheme setups, pricing updates, and system changes.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of pricing data and results.
• Participate in evolving pricing capabilities by introducing new technologies and automation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including use of logical functions, formulas, and data transformation.
• Strong analytical aptitude and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with pricing models, schemes, insurance products, or analogous analytical business environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging directly with clients to handle inquiries and propose solutions.
• High attention to detail and systematic problem-solving approach.
• Proactive in managing client requests and delivering prompt outcomes.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and produce quality results consistently.

Additional Desired Experience

• Familiarity with insurance pricing, underwriting, delegated authority schemes, or related fields.
• Knowledge of programming and data analysis languages such as Python, SQL, or R.
• Experience with pricing platforms, rating engines, and supporting pricing technology deployments.
• Use of AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Linear, or similar workflow and task management software.
• Background in software or user acceptance testing.
• Experience working within smaller team settings.
