Stellenbeschreibung

About the company

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform that helps businesses take payments, expand revenue, and unlock new growth opportunities. Its customers range from major global enterprises to fast-growing startups. The company’s mission is to make the internet economy larger and more accessible, and it offers the chance to work on challenges with worldwide impact.

About the team

This position sits within Stripe’s Go-to-Market Analytics community and works closely with the Communications organization. The team focuses on understanding and explaining Stripe’s global economic influence through data-driven research and compelling public-facing stories.

Role overview

The Data Analyst for Economic Insights & Communications will connect analytical findings with external storytelling. The role involves using Stripe’s internal data, supported by reliable pipelines and sound data architecture, to surface meaningful economic trends, reveal how different parts of the economy are changing, and show how Stripe contributes to economic opportunity.

What you will do

  • Work with Communications partners to shape and run research initiatives that highlight different aspects of Stripe’s economic impact.
  • Share insights internally and externally in clear, engaging formats.
  • Form hypotheses, test them quickly using Stripe data, and proactively surface the most interesting findings.
  • Create, deploy, and support data pipelines and dashboards that turn internal and public data into actionable insight.
  • Define the most important metrics tied to economic impact and monitor them over time.
  • Analyze business drivers, customer segments, cohorts, and broader macroeconomic patterns in depth.
  • Collaborate with Communications to identify trends and produce social content, blog posts, reports, briefings, and campaign materials based on Stripe data.

Minimum qualifications

To be considered, candidates should have at least the core qualifications listed below. Preferred qualifications are helpful but not mandatory.

  • 3 or more years of experience in analytical roles handling large datasets.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, or another related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, plus experience building and supporting data pipelines with a distributed data framework.
  • Experience creating self-service dashboards or similar scalable analytical tools for partner teams.
  • Experience turning data into narratives and visualizations for external publication.

Preferred background

  • A master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Sciences, and/or experience doing analytics work in the technology sector.
  • Exposure to organizations that are trusted by policymakers and the public for their economic analysis.
  • Knowledge of survey design and analysis.

Working arrangement

This role can be performed from an office or from a remote location that is at least 35 miles (56 km) away from a Stripe office. Office-based employees are expected to spend at least 50% of each month in their local office or with users. Remote employees are expected to work from home regularly, although they may attend office visits, team meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events. Stripe does not pay relocation costs for remote placement.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary for this role is between $161,600 and $242,400. For sales positions, Stripe uses an On Target Earnings range that includes commissions or bonuses plus base pay; however, this note is included as part of the company’s general compensation framework. For candidates outside the US, the salary range may be discussed during the interview process. Pay may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commission/bonus, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and wellness stipends.

Eligibility

Applicants with the required background and experience are encouraged to apply. The company notes that preferred qualifications are optional and that strong candidates who meet the minimum requirements should still be considered.
