Data Analyst

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a partner of Haystack for a Data Analyst position focused on operational data within automation engineering. This role involves converting extensive operational datasets into actionable insights to assist engineering and automation design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform large-scale operational data into insights that support automation design and engineering decisions.
• Create and update metrics, reports, and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators related to new automation technologies.
• Analyze performance data from systems such as robotic storage to detect recurring operational problems and patterns.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional groups including engineers and product managers to promote data-driven decision-making.
• Lead exploratory investigations driven by curiosity into operational data to find areas for process improvements.
• Interpret complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights leveraging expertise in business analysis and analytical tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline like computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, mining, and managing large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with data visualization software such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.
• High attention to detail combined with strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience handling and integrating diverse data sources and systems.
