Data Analyst

Role Overview

Helius Technologies is seeking a Data Analyst on a 1-year renewable contract to support the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management Unit Data Office, focusing on Data & AI risk governance and Data Quality management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform periodic and ad-hoc Data Quality profiling and create dashboards.
• Review and approve metadata related to business data.
• Participate in thematic reviews concentrating on Data & AI risk aspects.
• Analyze data for identifying inconsistencies and assess completeness and intended usage.
• Carry out additional assignments as delegated by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1 to 3 years experience in Banking or Financial Services, preferably in Data Management, Data Analysis, or Data Engineering roles.
• Experience within Financial Services or Management Consulting, with strong exposure to banking domain.
• Sound understanding of financial products, processes, and associated data models.
• Mandatory proficiency in SQL.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow through tasks thoroughly.
• Familiarity with Data Management frameworks such as DAMA and DCAM is advantageous.
• Additional knowledge in data technologies like Hadoop, Cloudera Data Platform, Python, PySpark, Superset, and Teradata is a plus.
