Role Overview
NVIDIA AI is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with extensive experience in incident response, forensic investigations, threat hunting, and proactive cyber defense strategies. This position is designed for a cybersecurity expert motivated to protect enterprise and product systems from advanced threats by conducting complex investigations spanning diverse platforms. Joined with the Cyber Defense & Response team, you will spearhead detection, analysis, and response efforts against sophisticated attacks targeting NVIDIA's corporate, cloud, and product environments. Your technical expertise will drive investigations, automate response processes, and enhance security across infrastructure and products.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of Incident Response across corporate networks, cloud infrastructures, and product environments, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Conduct thorough threat hunts over endpoints, networks, and cloud workloads to proactively uncover indicators of compromise, emerging threats, and security gaps.
- Manage cloud-based incident response for platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads, involving log analysis, identity compromise inquiries, and workload forensics.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to handle product security incidents, assessing vulnerabilities, exploits, and security weaknesses within NVIDIA products.
- Perform digital forensic investigations and malware analysis to support root cause analysis and investigation findings.
- Develop and enhance security orchestration and automation playbooks in partnership with Security Engineering to expedite detection and response activities.
- Create and refine detection methods and defense strategies informed by threat modeling and attacker behavior analysis using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK to improve coverage across cloud, identity, endpoint, and product telemetry.
- Advise engineering and business stakeholders on secure design principles and incident management best practices; contribute to security policies, standards, and metrics to continually elevate NVIDIA's security posture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of direct hands-on involvement in incident response and threat hunting, including experience within cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud security fundamentals, identity and access management, and workload protection.
- Experience with product security investigations, vulnerability assessments, and secure software development techniques.
- Proficiency in digital forensics, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence gathering.
- Advanced skills in network analysis and operating system internals (Windows, Linux, macOS), and expertise in web application security to recognize anomalies and evaluate exploit pathways.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with dispersed international teams.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Professional certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Specialty, or CISSP.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security tools including AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel, and GCP Security Command Center.
- Development skills in Python, Go, or similar languages for security automation purposes.
- Experience with container security technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and artificial intelligence security considerations.
- Advanced capabilities in digital forensics and malware reverse engineering.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary is determined by your geographic location, previous experience, and comparable employee pay, with a range of 160000 to 258750 USD annually. In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible for stock equity and comprehensive benefits.
