Role Overview
This position supports the Store Support department by coordinating the day-to-day work of the team, helping with scheduling, and working closely with the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) to keep operations running smoothly. It is expected to maintain a strong customer-first approach, uphold a professional store image, and follow all standard operating procedures, health and safety rules, and food safety requirements at all times. Team Members in this role may also be asked to take on duties from related positions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and assign tasks to team members.
- Partner with the Team Trainer to develop staff in a way that supports high performance and lowers turnover.
- Help onboard new team members using checklists and training resources.
- Keep shelves and display cases clean, fully stocked, and rotated correctly.
- Handle challenging customer issues and complaints.
- Make sure break schedules are followed appropriately.
- Share team concerns with the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
- Report attendance concerns to store leadership as needed.
- Maintain high standards of retail presentation and execution.
- Create and sustain a positive workplace culture built on teamwork, respect, and strong morale.
- Monitor customer traffic and needs, then guide team members to serve customers quickly and effectively.
- Recruit, train, coach, motivate, and advise team members to support team performance and retention.
- Complete performance reviews in a timely and thoughtful manner.
- Communicate and exemplify the company vision and goals consistently.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Store Support procedures and policies.
- Ability to coach and train others in a constructive, supportive way.
- Solid product knowledge, including awareness of new items.
- Strong interpersonal, team-building, motivational, and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements.
- Good numerical skills for reviewing financial performance, profitability, and inventory.
- Sound judgment, leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills.
- Comfort using email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related software.
Experience
At least 12 months of retail experience is required.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- In an 8-hour shift, standing and walking for 6 to 8 hours may be required.
- Frequent hand use, including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Work involves bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to cold and hot conditions, including below 32°F, 32–40°F, and above 90°F.
- Ability to work in wet and cold environments.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be necessary.
- Use of tools and equipment such as box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery may be required.

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $21.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Eligibility is determined under the applicable benefits plan as of the date of hire and can vary by work location, length of service, and job type.
