HUD is developing foundational infrastructure for creating reinforcement learning (RL) training data and evaluations for advanced AI agents, coupled with a marketplace to distribute these datasets to front-line AI labs. Role Overview

We seek a Customer Operations Lead responsible for managing customer interactions that require personal attention beyond what AI automation can provide. This role focuses on leading processes that ensure effective customer activation and ongoing engagement, working alongside our Go-To-Market engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Manage the human-in-the-loop operations layer that interfaces with our customers, including data vendors and enterprise buyers.
Engage directly with customers when personal interaction is necessary to build trust, provide context clarification, or facilitate progress.
Address and resolve challenges related to contracts, onboarding, and platform functionality by collaborating with appropriate internal teams.
Identify recurring customer problems and feedback to inform improvements in processes, platform features, and communications.
Develop streamlined systems that simplify workflows and enhance problem resolution efficiency for future occurrences.

Candidate Profile

Experience in customer operations, business operations, consulting, or a related discipline.
Proven sound judgment in customer-facing scenarios, knowing when to assist, push back, or escalate matters.
Ability to manage multiple important tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail and committed follow-through.
Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to enhance personal productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in early-stage startups with the capacity to work independently in dynamic settings.
Experience collaborating with technically oriented customers.
Understanding of reinforcement learning concepts, including environments, evaluations, and benchmarks.
Comfortable working in ambiguous and unstructured problem spaces.

Team and Company Information

Team size is approximately 15 members, predominantly full-time onsite with some remote contributors.
The team includes highly accomplished individuals such as International Olympiad medalists and experienced AI startup founders and researchers.
Company has substantial funding with strong revenue growth, scaling profitably to meet demand.

Job Logistics

Full-time employment.
Currently onsite position with offices located in San Francisco Bay Area and Singapore.
Company provides visa and relocation support for qualified full-time applicants for US or Singapore locations.
Recruitment process involves two technical interviews followed by a 2-3 day work trial.
