About the role

Tesco is recruiting Customer Delivery Drivers to join its team in Ireland. The role is customer-facing from the very first interaction and plays an important part in delivering a positive home shopping experience. This is a practical, active position with a lot of variation, and each shift can look different depending on the route and customer needs.

Most of the day will be spent working independently on deliveries, while still having support from managers and colleagues at the base whenever needed. Various shift patterns are available.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a strong home shopping service by keeping the customer central to every task.
  • Load the van when needed and check that the vehicle is roadworthy before setting off.
  • Follow the planned route and delivery schedule provided for the shift.
  • Wear the correct uniform and present a professional, ready-to-help appearance.
  • Drive carefully, responsibly, and in full compliance with road laws.
  • Show courtesy and consideration toward all other road users.
  • Greet customers warmly, including addressing them by name where appropriate.
  • Handle each delivery with care and treat customer orders as if they were your own.

Requirements

  • Valid full Irish or EU driving licence, manual or automatic, held for at least 2 years.
