Job description
Overview
This Custodial Worker role is based at Pointes West Army Resort in Appling, GA, which is distinct from the Fort Gordon location. Eligibility
This position accepts applications from the general public including U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those owing allegiance to the U.S. Also eligible are non-U.S. nationals who have continuously resided within the U.S. or its territories for at least three years prior to federal affiliation.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in rooms, corridors, staircases, and shared spaces utilizing brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, waxers, and buffers.
- Dusting, waxing, and polishing furniture and fixtures as well as disinfecting and deodorizing bathroom and toilet areas.
- Remove trash, make beds, change linens, clean mirrors, walls, windows, and blinds, and replenish toiletries and room amenities.
- Observe and report any maintenance or repair needs found in rooms.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and room amenities to ensure efficient performance of duties.
Requirements and Conditions
- Ability to lift and transport items up to 20 pounds.
- Must have direct deposit and a Social Security Card.
- Successful background checks, including employment verification and possibly a Tier 1 background investigation for facility access, are required.
- Applicants must be registered with or exempt from Selective Service if male and born after December 31, 1959.
- Work schedule, location, and duties may change based on mission needs.
- Instruction following and competence in using light powered or hand cleaning equipment is essential; prior work experience is not required.

No formal education qualifications are necessary for this position.

- Area of consideration is worldwide and includes eligibility for Military Spouse Preference and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference candidates.
