CRO Logistics Manager

Role Overview

Connexis Search Group partners with a flourishing diagnostic and clinical-services company to recruit a CRO Logistics Manager passionate about more than just shipment tracking. This role involves designing, pricing, launching, and managing logistical programs that ensure critical clinical specimens are transported safely and punctually.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with clients and Sales teams to understand shipment details including volume, routing, timing, temperature controls, packaging, and service needs.
• Develop and implement dependable logistics solutions encompassing scope, assumptions, service levels, and pricing components.
• Work closely with Sales and Finance to conduct cost comparisons, formulate client pricing strategies, and maintain appropriate profit margins.
• Identify and select outsourced courier partners based on coverage, capability, compliance, cost, responsiveness, and reliability criteria.
• Manage relationship onboarding with couriers, continuously monitor their performance, and resolve any service-related issues.
• Supervise the critical transportation of biological specimens and clinical materials, ensuring adherence to tracking protocols, chain of custody, cold-chain requirements, delivery confirmation, and exception handling.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Practical experience in CRO logistics, clinical trial logistics, specimen transport, laboratory logistics, or medical courier operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of biological specimen handling, time-sensitive shipments, chain of custody, and cold-chain logistics.
• Proficiency with client solution development, vendor quotation processes, logistics pricing, margin evaluation, and courier partner selection.
• Ability to confidently engage in client discussions and take ownership of urgent operational challenges until fully resolved.
• Excellent communication, strong commercial acumen, effective organization, and adept vendor management abilities.
