Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our Transmission & Utilities division at Rivervale. This pivotal role involves delivering precise cost management, financial reporting, and forecasting for site-based contracts, ensuring robust financial oversight and clarity in project execution.

Working closely with the Project Controls Manager and Engineer, you will play a vital part in generating reliable cost data, forecasts, invoicing, and insightful project performance information while promoting a safety-first workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and report on project site contract costs with accuracy, including forecasting.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment across financial and cost reporting platforms.
  • Prepare and update reports on project progress, forecasts, and cash flow metrics.
  • Conduct month-end project reviews detailing revenue, expenses, and profit margins.
  • Oversee client invoicing processes, manage outstanding debts, and address invoice queries.
  • Allocate payments in compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Generate daily reports on workforce activities.
  • Assist with audits, cost estimations, budgets, and management presentations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Between 3 to 5 years’ experience in project controls.
  • Proficient knowledge of SAP financial systems.
  • Experience with FSM software is highly beneficial.
  • Deep understanding of cost control, forecasting, and reporting within projects.
  • Exceptional attention to data accuracy and detail, particularly using Microsoft Excel.
  • Capability to handle multiple stakeholders and shift priorities effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
