About the Role

Airswift is a global workforce solutions provider specializing in energy, process, and infrastructure sectors, partnering with clients to meet their talent needs worldwide. We seek a seasoned Cost Control Specialist to lead and oversee the lifting discipline activities within major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. This position demands technical leadership and governance to ensure lifting operations comply with safety standards and global regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the estimation, negotiation, and reporting of change order costs throughout the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) phase.
  • Maintain up-to-date, schedule-aligned project cost estimates.
  • Coordinate change control aspects with Project Management Team disciplines as needed.
  • Ensure EPC Contractor implements effective cost estimation and control procedures, emphasizing pre-emptive corrective actions.
  • Provide expertise in cost and change management to the project team.
  • Strictly follow the Project Management of Change (MOC) process, sustaining control over cost and schedule.
  • Collect, consolidate, analyze, and report project cost controls, progress measurements, and control trends to monitor project health and resolve issues.
  • Anticipate project changes and assess their impact on schedule and cost, integrating approved changes into project planning and forecasting.
  • Evaluate EPC Contractor performance in cost control, progress tracking, and schedule management.
  • Develop and present multiple contract scenarios driven by cost and schedule to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project cost/schedule analysis, forecasting, and change management.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Management, Administration, or a Commercial discipline.
  • At least eight years of experience in cost estimating, project scheduling, and controls.
  • Proven ability to validate Contractor Estimates and assist contractors in creating high-level modularized cost documentation.
  • Experience with Brownfield projects, understanding complexities and risks affecting cost and schedules.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in using office productivity software and technical project control applications.
