Role Summary

As a proactive member of the Sport Operations team under the guidance of the Manager, Sport Operations, you will support various functions within the Sport & Athlete Services (SAS) division. Your tasks will encompass day-to-day operational activities, financial administration, and driving key business initiatives aligned with division and organizational strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders including National Governing Bodies (NGBs), member organizations, and internal USOPC teams to foster efficient partnerships.
  • Manage the entire contract routing process for the division by preparing, executing, and tracking contracts and ensuring compliance with background and SafeSport training requirements.
  • Handle weekly direct athlete support payments and additional payments related to Operation Gold and pregnancy support, collaborating with performance teams and finance while ensuring timely communication about payment status.
  • Coordinate EAHI enrollments in partnership with Sports Medicine, Performance Teams, and Athlete Services, maintaining clear updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with USOPC document retention policies within the SAS division and Sport Operations team.
  • Process and monitor purchase orders, contract payments, and vendor invoices across the division.
  • Maintain a centralized SharePoint repository for managing vital division documents, processes, and policies efficiently.
  • Support division leadership on projects, priorities, and administrative tasks as required, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sport management, or relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in business operations, sport management, or nonprofit management.
  • Basic accounting knowledge is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
  • Capability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and responsiveness under pressure.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for sport and alignment with the USOPC's values and mission.

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Office setting located in a multi-story building within a multi-building campus.
  • Use of standard office equipment and relevant sports equipment.
  • Regular attendance is essential for this role.

Work Location

Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters with a hybrid work model.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly pay range between $24.65 and $25.35.
  • Full-time role expected to work 40 hours each week.
  • Eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program targeting a 5% bonus; subject to change or discontinuation at the USOPC's discretion.
