About the Role

Hotel Waldmühle GmbH is looking for a cook who brings creativity to the kitchen and helps delight guests with well-prepared dishes and fresh ideas. The property is a family-run 3-star superior hotel located in scenic Zella-Mehlis, in the Thuringian Forest and close to the well-known winter sports destination of Oberhof. The hotel includes a public restaurant, meeting rooms, a sauna, a whirlpool, a beer garden, and an attractive outdoor area. Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes with care and quality.
• Plan food usage and calculate ingredient needs.
• Handle purchasing, acceptance of goods, and proper storage of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Fluent German at C1 level.
• Prior professional experience working as a cook.
• Resilience, reliability, flexibility, and motivation.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
• Formal cook training is preferred, but it is not mandatory if equivalent professional experience is available.
