About the Role
Join Macy's, a renowned brand with over 160 years of history, celebrated for innovations and traditions that resonate with millions across America. As a Content Optimization Specialist for the Ready to Wear category, you will ensure that Product Description Pages (PDPs) across the business line meet or surpass Macy's online content standards. This involves enhancing product images, verifying copy quality, and embedding selling aids like size charts and product videos to drive engagement and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the expert on Macy's site content standards and pinpoint areas of improvement through competitive research.
- Deliver training, mentorship, and guidance to merchants and related stakeholders on PDP standards, best practices for optimization, and customer experience advancements to enhance content quality and usage.
- Analyze internal reports, competitor activities, and performance data to identify content deficiencies and prioritize enhancements by collaborating with merchants for enriched product presentation.
- Support and coach the offshore team on process workflows, quality benchmarks, and content specifications to maintain consistent and high-quality PDP creation for over 100,000 products annually.
- Evaluate the quality and technical details of images, performing minor retouches like resizing, cropping, color adjustments, and corrections as required.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere fostering strong relationships internally and externally.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in retail, site merchandising, or marketing environments.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and sharing insights.
- Experience with content management systems, digital asset management, and image editing software to facilitate product content and imagery workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to manage workload efficiently in a dynamic setting while sustaining high quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, strategic, and technical mindset.
- A growth-oriented attitude, quick adaptability to change, and eagerness to learn new processes and technologies.
Additional Qualifications and Details
- Preferred candidates hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
- Regular workplace requirements include sedentary activities such as sitting, talking, and listening, use of hands for detailed tasks, occasional movement within the workplace, and good close vision.
