Role Overview
The Content Creator will join the Communications Team based in Goa, offering a unique chance to conduct original research and analysis related to parliamentary legislation, committee reports, and the functioning of state and national legislatures. This role involves engaging with legislators and policymakers while creating impactful content that supports political initiatives and challenges.
Core Responsibilities
- Create engaging, culturally resonant content in Konkani specifically tailored for social media platforms, aligning with political narratives and campaign goals.
- Independently manage social media content assets including creation, curation, and scheduling of Konkani-language posts.
- Edit, proofread, and localize content to ensure linguistic accuracy and relevance for Konkani speakers.
- Work with the communications team to develop strategic messaging that communicates governance initiatives, political messages, and campaign narratives relevant to Goa.
- Engage actively with the audience, interpreting their feedback and modifying content to suit local cultural and political contexts.
- Incorporate multimedia (graphics, videos, infographics) to boost the visual interest and message impact of content.
- Monitor and analyze Goa’s political trends and regional developments to inform content strategy.
- Collaborate with designers and editors to deliver cohesive content across formats and platforms.
- Leverage familiarity with AI-assisted content tools, such as writing assistants and image generators, to augment content creation and optimization.
- Regularly evaluate content performance metrics to refine strategies for audience expansion and engagement improvement.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Mandatory fluency in Konkani, with proficient command of English and Hindi.
- Demonstrable experience in content creation, especially regional language or political content, supported by a solid portfolio.
- Comprehensive knowledge of social media trends and platforms, particularly in the context of regional political communication.
- Working knowledge of AI content creation tools is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of political dynamics in Goa and India, with an interest in state and national affairs.
- Creativity in developing fresh, innovative political communication ideas tailored to regional audiences.
- Independent management skills for social media content and editorial calendars.
- Adaptable to fast-changing political environments and content requirements.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Political Science, or related fields is preferred.
- Additional specialization or coursework in Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Political Communication, or Regional Media is advantageous.
