Job Overview
Join the vibrant team at The WB™ Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton™ as a Commis III, where you will play a vital role in creating remarkable dining experiences. You will assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking food, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality and presentation while embodying the spirit of exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare diverse menu dishes strictly following recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Efficiently manage guest orders to provide outstanding dining services.
- Master complex recipes, supervise assigned kitchen stations, control execution and quality, and perform inventory monitoring.
- Conduct quality inspections of all dishes before service to ensure excellence in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, adhering to strict food safety, storage, and handling protocols.
- Prepare requisitions for necessary food supplies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Strictly comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations to promote a safe environment for guests and team members.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 1 year of experience as a Cook or Trainee in a 5-star hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
- Foundational knowledge of Western or Chinese culinary styles.
- Ability to stay composed and effectively solve issues under kitchen pressures.
- Comfort working in a hot, humid, and noisy kitchen atmosphere.
- Strong capacity for teamwork and clear communication.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and adhering to kitchen hygiene and procedures.
