Job Overview

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare food items following the menu specifications defined by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain hygienic standards in the workspace consistently, adhering to hotel health policies.
• Manage food inventory and control food costs within the assigned section.
• Carry out daily mise-en-place preparations and food production across various kitchen areas including the main and satellite kitchens.
• Follow instructions and guidance from immediate supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure consistent high quality and standards in food preparation while staying updated on new products, recipes, and preparation methods.
• Collaborate with other kitchen sections to address requirements related to cleanliness, waste reduction, and cost control.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

Candidates should have completed a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training program and have prior experience working in reputable culinary environments. Strong culinary skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English are essential. Proven expertise in food preparation, presentation, and preservation is required.
