Commercial Counsel

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join on a contractual basis, offering remote work flexibility. Compensation ranges between $90 and $130 per hour, with a weekly commitment expected between 10 to 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine contract negotiation playbooks tailored to diverse situations and corporate needs.
• Prepare, analyze, and annotate various commercial agreements ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to standards.
• Offer expert advice on contract management best practices and negotiation tactics.
• Collect and supply non-confidential transaction documents supporting project documentation requirements.
• Review and enhance existing contract templates to increase operational efficiency and reduce risk.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure all materials align with the guidelines for AI training objectives.
• Provide thorough written and oral feedback aimed at improving system comprehension and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Current or prior experience serving as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with deep involvement in contract negotiation playbooks.
• Proven skill in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and oversight within corporate frameworks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, underscored by precision and attention to detail.
• Understanding of industry norms for contract evaluation and risk analysis.
• Experience in creating or leveraging contract negotiation playbooks designed specifically for organizations.
• Acquaintance with document-centric project work, including the sourcing and provision of transactional materials.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, offering clear and actionable input to support AI training processes.
