Cloud Solution Architect - Erada Internship at Microsoft

About the Program

Join Microsoft in Doha, Qatar as a Cloud Solution Architect Intern through the Erada Program, a specialized initiative designed to boost employability of Qatari Nationals via early professional recruitment and skills development. This six-month paid program blends global technical and professional certification training with real-world experience, mentoring, and coaching, enabling participants to work alongside Microsoft teams on transformative digital projects.

Program Structure

The internship comprises two phases over six months:

• Phase 1: Onboarding & Skilling Bootcamp (1 month) – Introduces Microsoft’s mission and culture, delivering technical training for globally recognized certifications and soft skills such as project and change management, interpersonal communication, creativity, and time management.
• Phase 2: On-the-Job Training (5 months) – Hands-on experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, including job shadowing, mentorship, coaching, and exposure to advanced technologies like AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize foundational knowledge of architectural solutions to address business and IT needs, and resolve technical limitations.
• Represent customer perspectives by collecting and communicating feedback on technical capabilities and bottlenecks to internal teams.
• Gather colleagues’ inputs to develop solution proposals and demonstrate technical concepts through collaborative design sessions.
• Assist in research and scoping assessments for customers/partners regarding intellectual property or procedural adaptations.
• Engage in external technical community events for knowledge sharing and team learning.
• Contribute to architecture design discussions, resiliency assessments, and technical optimization efforts to ensure well-architected customer environments and enhance business value.

Qualifications

• Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Must be a Qatari national legally authorized to work in Qatar.
• Proficiency in English.

Preferred Skills and Traits

• Strong passion for technology and dedication to customer satisfaction.
• Effective stakeholder and relationship management skills across leadership, partners, and customers.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation abilities.
• Preferred but not required certifications include Microsoft Azure cloud and change management certifications (e.g., Prosci).
