Role Overview

This full-time remote position as a Cloud Engineer focuses on designing, constructing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to underpin AI Vidya's educational platforms and internal operations. Key responsibilities include deploying scalable, secure cloud solutions, administering Linux servers, managing and monitoring databases, and enhancing system performance and reliability. Collaboration with development teams will be vital for application deployment automation, workflow enhancements, and refining CI/CD pipelines. The role also encompasses troubleshooting, security optimization, cost management, and contributing to operational documentation.

Qualifications

• Solid expertise in cloud computing environments and infrastructure, including proficiency with major cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Strong Linux system administration skills involving monitoring, security improvements, and automation with scripting tools like shell scripting.
• Practical knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, including configuration, performance tuning, backup mechanisms, and ensuring high availability.
• Competence in software development with at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go) and familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipeline management.
• A solid understanding of networking concepts, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, load balancers, firewalls, and adherence to cloud security best practices.
• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setup, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborate well across various functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is advantageous; exposure to AI or data-centric platforms is a plus.
