About the Role

Role Summary
The Clinical Assistant supports patients before surgery by collecting, verifying, and documenting the information needed to prepare for procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient details such as medical history and reason for the visit through direct communication with the patient.
- Prepare patients for examinations by carrying out basic checks, including blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
- Enter accurate patient data into charts and/or Salesforce.
- Protect confidentiality by properly handling and securing medical records.
- Relay physician instructions and respond to patient questions related to surgery.
- Help prepare charts, pre-admission paperwork, and consent documents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work setting by following established procedures and legal requirements.
- Keep medical and office supplies stocked and organized as needed.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
- An active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be held and maintained.
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Additional Requirement for Las Vegas Applicants
Applicants in Las Vegas must already have, or be willing to obtain, a Laboratory Assistant Licensure from the Nevada Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Public and Behavioral Health.
