About SSE and Role Overview

SSE Cleaning Ltd operates as part of the CWS Cleanrooms group, a leading European provider focused on contamination control solutions for industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and microelectronics. Under the leadership of CEO Andreas Wenzel, the company offers comprehensive cleanroom management services including rental of protective clothing, specialized cleaning on site, laboratory disinfection, and industry-specific training.

We are looking for a Site Manager to lead operations at a key medical device client located in Athenry. Reporting to the Key Account Manager, the chosen candidate will oversee operational management and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality cleanroom services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations to ensure compliance with cleanliness, regulatory standards, and operational KPIs including financial goals.
  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for the client, fostering robust relationships, addressing concerns, and facilitating ongoing improvements.
  • Oversee budget management and payroll accuracy while assisting in producing and evaluating operational and KPI reports.
  • Lead and promote Health & Safety initiatives, including compliance audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations in coordination with safety teams.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop personnel ensuring alignment with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Coordinate team efforts to deliver effective service through strategic scheduling and operational planning.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership characteristics such as vision, accountability, integrity, and teamwork to drive high performance.
  • Contribute to additional business projects including continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen and be available for flexible working hours, including weekends when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least three years of managerial experience in a comparable industry setting.
  • Excellent leadership abilities and communication skills with fluency in English.
  • A proactive, hands-on management style with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer use and willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule.

Working Conditions

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasionally, the role requires working outside normal hours, including shift patterns or weekend work.
