Cleaning Operative

Role Overview

Located in Bude, Cornwall, this permanent position offers a competitive hourly wage of £14.00 along with an annual bonus of £2000 upon obtaining and retaining National Security Clearance. The working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Please note that securing and maintaining National Security Clearance is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties across commercial premises including offices, corridors, stairwells, meeting spaces, washrooms, toilets, and showers according to site-specific schedules ensuring company and client standards are met.
• Assist the Soft Services team by rearranging furniture to prepare meeting rooms, serving refreshments when requested, and cleaning rooms post-use.
• Identify and report maintenance issues observed during cleaning to supervisors or site managers promptly.
• Respond efficiently to any service deficiencies highlighted by management.
• Conduct special cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemicals as directed by management, adhering to safety guidelines including COSHH.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supply stocks in designated storage areas and request replenishments in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all statutory regulations and company policies including the EMCOR Code of Conduct, and work safely in accordance with Health & Safety standards to prevent harm to oneself and others.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in workplace cleaning is advantageous.
• Physically capable of handling light equipment such as vacuum cleaners and mop buckets, including the ability to maneuver these up and down stairs.
• Demonstrates punctuality and reliability.
• Has experience in delivering good customer service.
• Exhibits a meticulous and systematic approach to tasks.
• Proficient in English to ensure understanding and compliance with safety practices.
