Role Overview

The position of Civil Engineer / Billing Engineer is a full-time role based on-site in Srinagar. Responsibilities include preparation and review of bills of quantities, measurement sheets, and running account (RA) bills for various infrastructure and building projects. Daily activities comprise supervising site operations, validating quantity measurements, and facilitating communication with site supervisors and project managers, all to guarantee proper documentation of completed work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine bills of quantities, measurement sheets, and RA bills for infrastructure and construction projects.
• Oversee site activities to verify executed quantities align with project estimates.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and project management to maintain accurate progress records.
• Assist in cost estimation, price analysis, tender documentation, and contract preparation.
• Ensure all billing and documentation comply with project specifications and contractual standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely invoice submissions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge of civil engineering concepts, construction methods, materials, and infrastructure standards.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying tasks including measuring works, preparing BOQs, RA bills, and final billing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
• Experience with project coordination, site reporting, progress monitoring, and maintaining detailed records.
• Familiarity with software such as MS Excel, MS Word, and preferably engineering or quantity surveying tools like AutoCAD, ERP, or billing systems.
• Analytical mindset with excellent numerical skills and keen attention to measurement accuracy and billing precision.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with site teams, clients, and contractors proficiently.
• Previous exposure to infrastructure or building projects, especially in roads, bridges, or railways, is advantageous.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Srinagar, accommodate field conditions, and travel as necessary.
