Chief Product Officer

About the Role

We are representing a partner company located in the United Arab Emirates that is searching for a Chief Product Officer to spearhead product innovation and growth in a rapidly expanding consumer health and wellness enterprise. This senior executive will be responsible for shaping product strategy, overseeing R&D, directing scientific affairs, and managing product commercialization efforts. The role requires building sustainable innovation frameworks, identifying new market trends, and leading cross-functional teams in a fully remote, trust-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture high-performing teams across product development, research & development, scientific affairs, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
• Craft and implement strategies for product innovation, pinpointing new product categories, ingredients, technologies, and consumer trends.
• Establish and enhance scalable systems and processes to speed up product development and improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee the creation of scientifically validated, compliant, and uniquely formulated products.
• Ensure product quality, consistency, operational effectiveness, and supply chain robustness throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and operational divisions to develop winning go-to-market plans to maximize business outcomes.
• Foster a culture emphasizing excellence, accountability, and continuous advancement within product-related areas.
• Integrate emerging technologies and AI-driven methodologies to boost innovation, refine formulation quality, and shorten the time to market.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience totaling over 15 years in leadership positions within product, R&D, or innovation areas.
• At least five years leading sizeable product or R&D teams in supplements, functional foods, consumer packaged goods, or related sectors.
• Proven success in launching and scaling consumer products from initial concepts through commercialization phases.
• Deep knowledge of formulation science, ingredient procurement, regulatory matters, and product quality management.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams encompassing product, science, quality, and development functions.
• Strong commercial insight with a capability to align product choices with business growth, profitability, and branding strategies.
• Expertise in developing scalable systems and procedures for long-term organizational benefit.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in dynamic, fast-growing environments.
• An entrepreneurial approach balancing innovation, speed, operational discipline, and business requirements.
• Interest and experience in utilizing AI and emerging tech to enhance product development and operational efficiency.
