Overview

This position involves maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the casino's kitchen and related areas, ensuring compliance with company standards as well as health and safety regulations.

Key Duties

• Carry out daily cleaning assignments as directed by supervisors.
• Clean all floor mats and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping to remove food debris and grease.
• Clean underneath and behind kitchen equipment.
• Maintain and sanitize garbage receptacles.
• Keep sufficient inventory of necessary supplies to perform cleaning duties efficiently.
• Properly store all equipment including china, glassware, silverware, cooking utensils, and other items.
• Ensure all floors, walls, dishes, pots, and kitchen areas remain spotless.
• Use and position safety markers such as “Wet Floor” signs whenever required.
• Provide kitchen staff with appropriate safety equipment like gloves, goggles, and cleaning solutions, ensuring correct usage.
• Monitor equipment operation and report any malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
• Assist kitchen utility staff with additional tasks as needed.
• Support other departments in cleaning tasks or restocking supplies.
• Train kitchen workers on safety procedures and appropriate cleaning product usage.
• Organize and store cleaning supplies and chemicals securely.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards as per company policies, Health Department mandates, and OSHA guidelines.
• Keep all company matters confidential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least six months of experience in cleaning is required.
• Knowledgeable about handling various cleaning compounds and kitchen equipment sanitation.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Ability to read and understand product labels for safe chemical application.
• Capability to work well in a team and communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and variable days off.
