Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented Cashier to join a well-regarded counter-service and self-service restaurant located in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing customer orders and payments while delivering exceptional service and collaborating seamlessly with the kitchen and service teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Accurately record customer orders and process payments using the POS system
• Manage cash, card, and various payment methods with precision
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, promotions, and options
• Assist customers in choosing menu items and provide clear responses to inquiries
• Encourage sales through recommending additional items and upselling
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and precise order preparation and delivery
• Prepare trays for dine-in and takeaway orders and ensure order accuracy before handover
• Keep the cashier station and service areas clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Perform end-of-day cash count and prepare closing financial reports
• Immediately report any discrepancies in cash or POS malfunctions to supervisory staff
• Adhere to company protocols, including food safety and customer service standards
• Support colleagues during busy shifts to maintain smooth operations

Candidate Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of cashier experience in high-quality counter-service or self-service dining establishments
• Familiarity with operating POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are favored
• Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer service
• Proven ability to upsell and make effective product recommendations
• Solid understanding of restaurant workflows and proper order handover procedures
• Accurate completion of cash reconciliation and preparation of closing documentation
• Positive demeanor with effective team collaboration skills
• Capability to perform efficiently in fast-paced settings
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
